Mrs. Julie Scheiwiller - Middle School Science

Julie Scheiwiller.jpg

I feel very blessed to be able to share my strengths in the field of science at the St. Francis Xavier School.  Science and math have always been my favorite subjects.  I studied at Virginia Tech, where I received my Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Nutrition.  My studies were heavily weighted in science as I decided if I wanted to go on to medical school or teach about nutrition in support of good health.  I chose to stay in nutritional sciences.  I did my internship with the Harvard Teaching Hospitals and then worked in research at the Center for the Study of Nutrition Medicine, a department of Harvard Medical School and the New England Deaconess Hospital (now the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center).  I married and moved to Switzerland, where my son was born.  There I taught English for several years.  Children are our greatest blessing in this world, and guiding my son is my greatest achievement.  I am now so happy to share my care, faith, and knowledge with more children.  Especially at St. Francis Xavier School where we clearly guide them toward fulfilling the potential God has blessed them with.
