Mrs. Stacey Brandes - 5th Grade Teacher

Stacey Brandes

I have taught in Catholic schools since graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1981. I started my career at Our Lady of Sorrows School in New Jersey, where I taught for 6 years. I moved to Vermont 3 months after marrying my husband, John, in April of 1987. I taught at St. Joseph School for 22 years until its closing. I came to St. Francis in 2010.

My husband and I live in South Burlington. Our son, Taylor, graduated from South Burlington High School in 2009 ,Lehigh University in 2013, and Harvard in 2017. He is an architect in Boston where he lives with his wife Rebecca. Our daughter, Chandler, graduated from South Burlington High School in 2015 and the  University of Vermont in 2019. She is currently a grad student at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.

In my spare time, I love to read, take long walks and shorter walks with my dog, Sprocket, spend time with my family and cheer for the New York Giants and Yankees.

I am truly blessed to teach in a Catholic school. I have taught and met so many wonderful students and families and worked with some exceptional people over the years. Even after all these years, I still look forward to teaching each and every day.
