Mrs. Michelle Guilmette - PreSchool Teacher

St. Francis isn’t just any Catholic school to me. St. Francis School and Church have had a significant role in my life and faith. Both my husband and I attended St. Francis Xavier School. We had a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Francis Church twenty-four years ago. After having children, there was never a question as to which school they would attend. We both have very fond memories of our grammar school days and we wanted our children to have the same opportunity to form life-long bonds with their peers, while simultaneously growing in their faith.

Before coming to St. Francis, I owned and operated my own registered daycare for eighteen years. Teaching and watching the children grow from infants to children ready to begin school was a privilege. My program was educationally based with ample flexibility through structure and play. My goal has always been to send them off to PreKindergarten knowing how to write their names and recognize the alphabet, along with other foundational skills that will help them ease into a school program.

As the new preschool teacher at St. Francis, I now have a chance to continue doing what I love. I’m thankful to be able to incorporate my faith into the curriculum. I feel fortunate to be able to help children grow academically and spiritually.
