Mrs. Jeanne Rousseau - 3rd Grade Teacher

IMG_7105.jpg

My name is Jeanne Rousseau and I have had the privilege of teaching 3rd grade at St. Francis Xavier School since 1993.  I am a wife and mother of three children, all of whom are SFX alums! Our two older children are out in the working world and our youngest, John, is attending Nazareth College where he has been accepted into the Nursing Program.

Originally, I hail from Connecticut, but attended Colchester High School and St. Michael’s College and, although I am told I will never be a “true Vermonter,” home for me is Fairfax and St. Francis.

Before coming to work here at the school, I ran a licensed home daycare and worked as a graphic illustrator for a floor plan finance company.  I was also employed as a custom framer at an art gallery and have accepted many commissions as a free-lance artist and portrait painter.

I can say that I have never enjoyed a job more than teaching. It has been a joy to be part of the community of people at St. Francis Xavier School where I get to work with such wonderful children and excellent families as we grow and share in our Catholic faith.
