St. Francis Xavier School

It is my dream job to be teaching middle school science here at St. Francis, where I get to teach my favorite subject without having to hold back my Catholic identity in the classroom. 

 

My Vermont Teaching License is in Secondary Science Education, and my bachelor’s degree is in Secondary Science Education from the University of Vermont. Since I told my supervising internship professor that I would like to be assigned at a middle school, my focus has been building on teaching strategies specific to the developmental needs unique to this age group. 

 

I grew up in both Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains, attending both Catholic school and some public schools (with one year of homeschooling in the middle). Now as a wife and mother of three, outside the classroom I can be found in my backyard learning how to garden and building my compost piles.
