St. Francis Xavier School

My name is Jake Stalnaker and I am the Director of the Extension Program at Saint Francis Xavier School! I was born and raised in Colchester, Vermont - graduating from Colchester High School in 2011 before attending the University of Vermont (class of 2015). While I have bachelor's degrees in English and Political Science, my career turned towards education after teaching snowboarding lessons while I was still a student at UVM. I have since worked as an assistant director of Afterschool Programming, a Behavior Interventionist, and Thematic Facilitator previous to my role here as Director of the Extension Program.

Outside of school, you may find me running through the streets of Burlington, snowboarding at Bolton Valley, or playing drums with my other musician friends. I am a huge proponent of social-emotional learning and I am so excited to continue my growth as an educator here at Saint Francis Xavier, forever grateful for the wonderful community that we serve.
