Mrs. Jeanne Rousseau - Third Grade Teacher

My name is Jeanne Rousseau and I have had the privilege of teaching grade 3 here at St. Francis Xavier School since 1993.  I am a wife and mother of three children, all of whom are (or are about to be) S.F.X. alums!  My son Sean Plant was the Valedictorian for his eighth grade class. He attended Emmanuel College in Boston and now works at IBM.  Our daughter, Meghan, attended Rice High School and is presently a senior at the University of Maine at Farmington and our youngest son John looks forward to going to Rice High School next year.

Originally, I hail from Connecticut, but attended Colchester High School and St Michael’s College.  Although I am told I will never be a “true Vermonter,” home for me is Fairfax and St. Francis.

Before coming to work here at the school, I ran a licensed home daycare and worked as a graphic illustrator for a floor plan finance company as well as a custom framer at an art gallery.  I can say that I have never enjoyed a job more than teaching and that it has been a joy to teach such wonderful children and work with so many great families over the years as we grow and share in our Catholic faith.
