Snowflake Chocolate Fudge Sale

posted Oct 10, 2017, 10:42 AM by Saint Francis Xavier School Information

The second half of our fall fundraiser begins this Friday. We will be selling locally made fudge from Snowflake Chocolates. They produce the fudge sold especially for SFX! This fundraiser will run from 10/06 through 10/26 and delivery of the fudge will be on Wednesday, November 15th - just in time for Thanksgiving! The specifics are:

12 oz. boxes of fudge are $10 each.
There are 5 flavors – chocolate, chocolate walnut, maple, maple walnut and peanut butter – 1 flavor per 12 oz. box.
Forms of payment are cash or check made payable to: SFX Home & School.
Please collect payment at time of order.
Orders and payments due in to teachers or Ms. Terry by Thursday 10/26. (Sorry, no late orders can be accepted.)
Delivery of fudge will be Wednesday, November 15th.
Vermont made fudge would make great business gifts for employees or clients!

This fundraiser also helps support the teacher and staff bonuses so your participation is key! It would be extremely helpful if each student sold just 6 boxes. We cannot thank you enough for participating in these fundraisers. If you have any questions, please email Jami Daigle, Fudge Order Form

Lil’ Vermonters Consignment Sale Fundraiser

posted Sep 25, 2017, 6:27 AM by Becky Wetzel

We are very excited to announce that we have a new fundraising opportunity, that has been presented to us by Michelle Marchand, owner of Lil’ Vermonters Consignment Sale and brand new St. Francis parent!

There are two opportunities to raise money at the upcoming October sale. We will be able to sell gently used clothing (newborn to Youth size 14 and maternity), shoes, toys, games, DVDs, furniture, diaper bags, baby gear, books (children’s and parenting), etc., with all profits going directly to the school and we will be hosting a bake sale right at the event. We are looking for items to sell and volunteers.

All of the items need to be in good working condition, and if they require batteries, please include batteries. Car seats cannot be sold at this event. The clothing must be free of stains and rips. There will be a bin to donate the items in the lobby, which will be emptied every few days. Please have your items in the bin by 2pm on Fridays so we don’t have anything out in the hallways during the weekend. The final day to donate is October 3rd.

We will need volunteers to help sort and tag the items on the evening of October 3rd, people to work at the sale and man the bake sale table from October 13th-14th , and last, but certainly not least, we will need some fabulous bakers to make food for the bake sale. Please go to sign-up genius to become a tagger, an event worker, or a baker:

Packets for our first fundraiser of the year went home with students today. This is an important fundraiser for our school and we need all of the help and support we can get. The students have been issued a challenge to sell six items. If we meet our goal, Mr. Becker will be getting duct taped to a wall! Please reach out to Home and School if you have any questions.

Changes to Hot Lunch

posted Sep 2, 2017, 11:42 AM by Becky Wetzel   [ updated Sep 2, 2017, 11:43 AM ]

As you may have read over the last few weeks, we are moving our hot lunch payment program to RenWeb. This will unify the parent experience in terms of payments for school expenses. This will start October 1st. During the month of September, we will be making the final preparation for the switch as well as auditing all of our accounts. We will transfer any credit you have from your My SchoolAccount (our current lunch payment program) into RenWeb. If you have an unpaid balance in MySchoolAccount, we will notify you so you can pay off any arrears before starting the new program on Renweb. Any returning family may use MySchoolAccount until Friday, September 22nd. During the month of September all families may bring cash or checks to the main office to pay their lunch account. If you have any questions about the process please feel free to let Mr. Becker know. Once the transition is made, the new system will provide a simpler payment method for our families.

Home and School Community Meeting and Open Classroom Night, Thursday September 7th, 6pm

posted Sep 2, 2017, 11:40 AM by Becky Wetzel   [ updated Sep 2, 2017, 11:41 AM ]

We will have a quick school wide home and school meeting in the gym followed by open classrooms. This is a great opportunity to meet the home and school committee members and put a face to a name. We will discuss the upcoming year, volunteer opportunities and our first fundraiser. The sign up sheets for the various home and school activities will be out. We would love for you to stop by the table and talk to the committee members and learn more. The teachers will have their classrooms open following the meeting, so you can stop by and learn a little bit more about your students curriculum and day to day life in the classroom. Everyone is encouraged to come.

Welcome Back BBQ - First Day of School

posted Aug 21, 2017, 4:13 AM by Becky Wetzel

There’s no better way to start off another great school year than with a lunch-time barbecue. All are welcome to start off the day by joining us for Mass at 10:00 a.m.  followed by a school wide BBQ.  Join the Home and School Association chefs for fresh-off-the-grill hamburgers and hot dogs. No need to pack a lunch on day one!

Please remember, sometimes it is VERY hard for young students, especially those in the Early Ed Program, to see their parents in the middle of the day and have them leave again. If you feel that your child might have a hard time seeing you leave after the BBQ, please consider not attending this event.

A reminder to all those who volunteered to help out and or bake for the opening day BBQ. Baked goods can be dropped off in the morning. People who volunteered to help set up should be in the lobby by 10. All those that signed up to help cooking should be at the school by 10:45.
